October

I’ve been considering crafting a newsletter for quite some time, but the standard template formats never aligned with my vision for a more personal and genuine communication with “my” family. Then, a dear friend suggested something that resonated with me – why not forgo the templates and create something from the heart? Imagine if we bumped into each other unexpectedly at the mall, what would we talk about? That’s the essence I want to capture, no fuss, no frills, just the thoughts on my mind and perhaps on yours.

As we step into October, here’s what I had in mind:

  1. Let’s embark on a journey to discover a new dining gem, DRIFT, part of the Opal Collection.
  2. Dive into the latest Market Statistics, comparing Boca Raton’s trends with the national numbers.
  3. Have a peak at a new Farmers Market, Sprouts – close to most of you.

I’m excited to share these topics with you, as it feels like having a casual chat with friends. Stay tuned for the October newsletter, where we’ll explore new subjects together!

DRIFT, is a visionary concept brought to life by Scott Luper, the accomplished and imaginative Director of Food & Beverage overseeing all Opal Collection properties.

As the most recent addition to Opal Grand, DRIFT promises an enchanting journey through coastal cuisine, inviting guests to unwind and embrace the beauty of their natural surroundings.

Within the restaurant, you’ll discover a main dining area, a captivating chef’s gallery, two private glass-enclosed enclaves, a mixology room, and an inviting outdoor veranda. The chef’s gallery, in particular, has been thoughtfully designed to replicate a home kitchen’s warm and welcoming ambiance, where friends and family gather around the counter, engaging in lively conversations while indulging in delectable dishes. This unique element, curated by Scott Luper, allows their talented culinary team to prepare your meal right before your eyes, enhancing the overall social and sensory experience.

Having personally experienced DRIFT, including leisurely ladies’ lunches, I can attest that it truly feels like heaven for a few precious hours. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting; you’ll undoubtedly express your gratitude for the recommendation. A special thank you to Johanne for introducing me to DRIFT and to Lyne for sharing this delightful experience with me.

MARKET STATISTICS – BOCA RATON and USA

In today’s world, it’s no secret that the more we consume news, the less clear things often seem. Controversies, differing opinions, and heightened emotions dominate the landscape, making it quite a challenge to uncover the real truth amidst the noise.

For me, what truly matters are cold, hard facts, reliable statistics, and insights from trusted experts who have built their reputations over the long haul. It’s these nuanced interpretations, coming together, that provide us with a more accurate understanding of the world around us.

With the aim of delivering such valuable insights to you, I’ve put together a summary of the latest data available as of late August. The chart below showcases data from 16 Boca Raton zip codes (shown in blue), while the orange line represents the national real estate market trends in the USA.

Here’s a snapshot of what August 2023 looked like:

  • We had a total of 1938 listings, with 1296 of them actively on the market and 642 pending sales.
  • Among these active listings, 480 were newly listed (less than 30 days on the market), and 376 had adjusted their prices to meet market demands.
  • The median home price in Boca Raton stood at approximately $797,000, with a median price per square foot of around $480. The typical residence had an area of approximately 1730 square feet.
  • Homes spent a median of 59 days on the market, and the inventory supply stood at 3.2 months.

SPROUTS MARKET now in Boca

In 2002, SPROUTS started with a mission to make natural foods accessible. They aimed to change the grocery landscape, offering fresh, organic choices without the high cost or inconvenience. Their foundation is built on this difference.

They prioritize clean, healthy eating over best-selling sodas and snacks. They are passionate about farm-fresh produce and affordability, believing that health shouldn’t require wealth.

Sprouts is your daily farmers market, with over 380 stores and 31,000 dedicated team members. They embody a commitment to goodness in every community, supporting projects in urban farming and children’s education through their foundation.

And now it is so close to most of you, almost across the street from Mission Bat Home Depot.

In the autumn of our lives, we often find ourselves reflecting on the past and nurturing new dreams to add to our bucket lists. Whether it’s traveling, pursuing passions, or simply savoring the joys of life, one thing I hope remains a constant is the idea of spending your winters in Florida. Here, you can escape the harsh winter months and relish all the lifestyle activities that make this season so special.

In this brief newsletter, my main goal is to connect and share information that matters to you – topics that pique your interest and occupy your thoughts. I wholeheartedly encourage each and every one of you to reach out with any ideas, thoughts, or suggestions you’d like to share. After all, life is what we make of it, and the community we create together is like an extended family. Let’s shape it to mirror our own aspirations and dreams!
